The Nokia E6, available in white, black and silver, is based on the Symbian^3 operating system. This system offers users the choice of several homescreens, each of which can be customized easily with widgets that can be simply dragged and dropped into position. The system also offers users the ability to zoom in and out of images easily by simply pinching and stretching with their fingers and thumbs.

Therefore, users should be able to manage their images very easily and conveniently. The Nokia E6 offers the user, for the first time on a Nokia smartphone, the ability to operate several apps at the same time. For example, the user can watch a video while listening to music, or surf several websites at the same time.

The system supports HD output, which allows users to connect their phones to their televisions for ease in game playing or in watching videos. The phone offers the ability to switch from cellular service to WLAN service automatically with no downtime. According to E6 news releases the phone features an ARM processor. The system will allow users to access 4G networks where available.
According to Nokia E6 news releases the phone has a Li-lon 1500 mAh battery, which offers users up to 681 hours of stand-by time, and almost 15 hours of talk time, between charging.
The Nokia E-6, which weighs 133 grams, also offers an eight megapixel LED-flash assisted camera. The camera is still fixed focus and features face detection. The camera gives the user the opportunity to geo-tag images.
The Nokia E6, which measures 115.5 by 59 by 10.5 millimeters, offers VGA display, and a Qwerty keyboard. Users of the phone will have WIFI, Bluetooth and GPS.
This phone has long been anticipated by the market, with Nokia E6 news releases read many times. It is the last phone that will feature the Symbian^3 operating system, and consumers must decide rather to buy this operating system or wait Nokia’s new operating system, that is even more anticipated. The camera on this phone is adequate, although it is still not as good as having a real camera with adjustable focus. The phone has Bluetooth, WIFI, and GPS, all of which will greatly enhance the user’s enjoyment of the phone. Remember you can sell nokia’s here on our website to get the most cash for your mobile phone.

The LG Optimus 3D – Impressive Technology On The Way There are a plethora of phones coming out in these modern times, and some of them just fall to the wayside, without notice. That is not the case for the latest offering from the mighty LG brand, as they are creating a buzz for their latest smartphone, far more than any other phone that has hit the market before it. It’s interesting to note that high technology fans are already stating that this latest phone could be the best to come out yet, and it’s quite impressive. The LG Optimus 3D is one of those phones that is going to delight users beyond a shadow of a doubt.

The latest LG Optimus 3D news has specifications that will floor most fans of smart phone technology. Some of the stand out features of the LG Optimus 3D include: 3D LCD touch screen with 16 million colors, 480 x 800 screen ratio, UI auto rotation, Gyro Sensor, Touch controls, Mp3 compatible, 8 GB storage, 512 MB RAM, WiFi compatible, and so much more. The phone is definitely going to rival many others available at the present.

LG Optimus 3D news is flooding the internet and most technology blogs have experienced a surge in traffic related to the device. The focus has been on the video, chipset, and operation system, which has been recently revealed to showcase true 3D in a handheld, and without constraint. It’s not just technology fans that have noticed the latest trend in mobile phones, it’s casual phone users switching from many traditional systems to the all new Android OS. The LG phone comes equipped with Android OS 2.2 and is completely upgradable to version 2.3. The inset computer chip is a Dual-core 1Ghz ARM processor with a full PowerVr SGX540 GPU, giving this handheld quite the processing power.

A survey of the latest smart phones will make it easy to see that the latest addition to the LG line up is more than just stellar. It’s something that is set to break the tradition of phone communication, and fully integrate entertainment with a full 3D component that is going to be hard to rival. Supporting the latest technology is one thing, but adding fully integrated video, sound, and productivity software on the Android platform is something that few manufacturers have done successfully. With that in mind, there is no wonder that so many can’t wait to pick this hot commodity up, as it sure seems to be the must own phone of the digital age.

mobile phone recycling

With the new ipad 2 fast approaching what technology do you think would be packed into it, we have compiled details from many forums to give you an overview of what new features to expet in comparison to our previous Apple Ipad Review.

iPad 2 specs: cameras and a gyroscope

Gizmodo reckons that FaceTime support’s a given, and that means a front-facing camera like the iPhone 4. BuzzBizzNews echoes the camera story, suggesting twin cameras. It also suggests that there’ll be a three-axis gyroscope like there is in the iPhone 4. EETimes says Apple has been testing gyroscopes but decided not to put one in the original iPad.

On 10 December 2010, images of a new iPad case appeared online, suggesting that the iPad 2nd generation will feature a rear-facing camera.

On 17 January 2011, we heard word of not only a rear camera, but a front one too… it seems more likely that FaceTime will be coming to the iPad 2 as well.

iPad 2 specs: a USB port and SD card slot

Rumours suggest that the iPad 2 will have a USB port, which BuzzBizzNews says will enable users to “upload movies, documents and photos”. We’re not convinced it’s for that, because Apple is moving increasingly to wireless. The iPad prints wirelessly. The iPad streams media wirelessly. Why add USB? More likely, we think, is a MicroUSB port or adapter so the iPad meets new EU regulations on mobile device chargers.

Images of a new iPad case have appeared online that seem to show space for an SD card slot.

On 17 January 2011, was also reported on said SD clard slot – it would be a dramatic move for Apple to go with such expandable memory, but a clever one if true.

iPad 2 specs: GSM and CDMA

AllThingsDigital quotes analyst Brian Blair, who says that Apple may be readying a “world iPad” that uses both GSM and CDMA networks, enabling it to get online anywhere in the world. CDMA, incidentally, is the technology used by Verizon in the US.

iPad 2 case: thinner and more like a MacBook

Brian Blair also says: “the new iPad is thinner than the existing model and is essentially made from one piece of metal with no pins needed. We understand it requires a new type of manufacturing process as a result, similar to the company’s unibody approach seen in MacBooks.”

iPad 2 specs: retina display

Will the gorgeous screen from the iPhone 4 make its way to the iPad? The Apple Blog thinks so: “You can be sure that Apple’s Retina Display, or something very close, will make its way to iPad”.

Then again, such a screen would massively increase the number of pixels, increasing the demands on both the iPad’s processor and its battery, so a nine-inch Retina Display is a challenge. If Apple’s solved it we’ll see you down the Apple Store the second it goes on sale.

iPad 2 specs: a seven-inch screen?

All of Apple’s rivals have plumped for 7-inch displays, which means their tablets are lighter than the iPad. Will Apple follow them into seven-inch territory?

iLounge says prototypes exist, while earlier this year DigiTimes predicted not just a seven-inch iPad 2, but a 5.6-inch iPad 2. Apparently the smaller iPads would target ebooks while the current iPad would target multimedia entertainment, “sources stated”. We’re doubtful. Apple already does a mini-iPad with a retina display. It’s the iPod touch.

The idea of a smaller iPad 2 took another knock in November, when 9to5Mac reported that the iPad 2 adverts have already been shot – with current-generation iPads playing the role of iPad 2s. The iPad 2s will be digitally added nearer the time, and of course that’s much harder to do if the iPad 2 is smaller than the iPads the actors are actually holding.

iPad 2 specs: a faster processor

KitGuru “has been hearing rumours from the Far East” that the iPad 2 will be a seven-inch job with a 2GHz processor and an HD video camera. It reckons the processor will be based on ARM’s Cortex A9, the 1GHz dual-core processor that you’ll find in the BlackBerry PlayBook.

On 18 January, it was also reported the iPad 2 will have a boosted dual core GPU, based on an upgraded graphical core from Apple. This will allow better pixel management, lending weight the theory that the iPad 2 will have a much higher-res screen.

iPad 2 specs: more memory

This is a no-brainer: the iPhone 4 has twice the memory of the iPad (512MB compared to 256MB), largely because the iPhone does multitasking. Since the iOS 4.2 release, iPads do multitasking too. 256MB already seems a little bit stingy.

iPad 2 specs: no home button

Boy Genius Report says a source has told it that Apple has employees testing iPads with no home buttons, but we’re inclined to agree with ZDNet, which says “don’t bet on it”.

iPad 2 features: Find My Friends

On 13 January 2011 we reported that Apple seems to have a location-based tool called Find My Friends in the works for its iOS 4.3 iPhone and iPad update.

The iPad 2 release date is probably in the Spring

Rumours suggested that the iPad 2 would be rushed out in time for Christmas, but if that’s Apple’s plan they’re being awfully last-minute about it. Early 2011 seems like a much better bet, and it fits with Apple’s annual product cycle: the first iPad was announced in January and shipped in the spring.

On 7 December we reported on rumours that Apple would be shipping iPad 2 units out to warehouses in February 2011. If that date is correct, it suggests an iPad 2 release date of some time around April.

This has been corroborated by tech radars report on 17 January, with the April UK release date backed up by ‘insiders’.

On 20 January 2011 they reported that the iPad 2 release date could be 9 February, after images leaked showing that date on the home screen (the original iPad launch promotional material had a 27 January 2010 date on the home screen – the date the first iPad launched).

On 7 February 2011, Elton John, speaking on BBC Breakfast, said he is looking forward to buying an iPad 2 in April so he can make video calls using Skype. Did he just out the iPad 2 release date or has he been hearing the same rumours that we have?

The iPad 2 price won’t change much

Unless there’s a new seven-inch model we’ll be amazed if the iPad 2 price is dramatically lower than the model it replaces: Apple isn’t struggling to shift units and rivals are charging similar prices. Cheapo tablets do exist, but they’re rubbish.

I think I will sell my ipad and get the new one when it comes out.

Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY

When we learned that Sony Ericsson was working on something related to the PlayStation Phone, we were told that “the surprise must be kept for the future”. Well, the rumour can finally be put to rest. Sony Ericsson has today decided to come clean with its worst-kept secret, the Xperia Play, which was officially unveiled on February 14 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Sony Ericsson xperia play

The smartphone with BRAVIA brilliance expected April 2011

From PlayStation Phone to Xperia Play

The Xperia Play probably had more leaks than a broken pipe in the past few years. It even got a full hands-on preview by Engadget, which threw up more questions than answers about the handset with a sliding gamepad. Engadget says that the Xperia Play is “comfortable to hold” and has a “better build quality than the PSP Go” despite being “less well-balanced” than the latter. To be fair, the leaked device is a prototype, so there may be modifications to the chassis down the road and the final product will likely turn up in a better shape.

Like the Xperia X10 and Xperia Arc, the Xperia Play has the same four thin menu controls below the display and a black color scheme. The top and bottom edges are noticeably more rounded, but the most striking difference is where you slide up the top face to reveal the expansive gaming controls. These include the standard Sony PlayStation directional pad and action buttons, and what appears like touchpad controls in the centre. There are also dedicated Select, Start and Menu hardware keys.

Little else is known (not officially anyway) about the hardware specifications of the Xperia Play, although Engadget says that the device comes with a 4-inch multitouch 854 x 480-pixel touchscreen, 512MB RAM, 1,500mAh battery, slots for SIM and microSD cards and a secondary microphone above the 5-megapixel camera’s LED flash at the back. Software-wise, the Xperia Play is based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Mobile gaming. Evolved.
Xperia PLAY is the only PlayStation® Certified smartphone, with console quality titles, a 4″ multitouch display and powerful speakers. The slide-out Control Pad features a D-pad, 4 symbol keys, L/R trigger, Select, Start and two analog touch joysticks. There’s even a three axis gyroscope, for full motion gaming.

Super fast. Super powered.
Throw the first punch. Fly past the finish line. Flick from screen to screen, from app to app, and between up to 8 web browser windows at once. Xperia PLAY has a best-in-class 1GHz Scorpion processor, a dedicated Graphics Processing Unit and a large internal memory.

BRAVIA® brilliance
Xperia PLAY’s 4″ display panel is enhanced by Sony’s exclusive BRAVIA® mobile engine. The high-resolution panel shows sharper colours, clearer images and more vivid game graphics, so you can enjoy your favourite movies, apps and games even more.

Apps, chats and snaps
With Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and great Sony Ericsson software, Xperia PLAY gives you fast access to your favourite friends, places, music, movies and over 100,000 Android apps. The front-facing camera can be used to capture self portraits or enjoy video chats with friends, and the 5 MP camera on the back of the phone can also be used to record high quality home movies, in 720p.

Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY with added gaming brilliance.

Apple iphone 5

Despite heavy rumours hitting a boiling point that Apple is planning on releasing a smaller, more cost effective lower budget edition of the iPhone, new reports have hit the web that Apple’s fifth-generation iPhone will boast a larger 4-inch display, a dual core CPU and possibly even a slide-out physical keyboard.

The rumours that Apple is working tirelessly in making a faster, snappier successor to the iPhone 4 has never really been in doubt. But today thanks to the technical guys at DigiTimes, we have a bit more to go on than the blatantly obvious.

According to component suppliers close to the matter, “the production lines for Apple’s next generation iPhone have begun testing, and Apple is interesting in expanding the screen size to 4-inches to support the tablet PC market as the vendor only has a 9.7-inch iPad in the market”.

There is also speculation that the iPhone 5 will pack a dual core dual core Cortex A9 based 1GHz processor to keep up with the spate of dual core smartphones being announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) this week.

Meanwhile, Apple Insider scooped another bit of info from Taiwanese tw.apple.pro, that Apple has made not only one but three hardware prototypes of the next iPhone, one of which reportedly sports a “sliding cover” that covers the keyboard.

Judging by their history of leaks, the site’s story seems pretty credible. A keyboard-toting iPhone would certainly make it a more appealing device to BlackBerry-toting types and old-fashioned users who prefer the tactile feel of a button when typing long messages.

Stay tuned for more iPhone 5 news that we hear very soon.

Since the first glimpse of Google’s Android Honeycomb OS back in December,...

Want more Honeycomb in your diet? You aren’t alone.

Since the first glimpse of Google’s Android Honeycomb OS back in December, everyone been full of questions. Honeycomb is the first Android edition to be optimized for tablets — and it’s a whole new beast from the operating system we’ve come to know.

This week, Google showed off some of Honeycomb’s features at a media event in Mountain View. The Android team also offered up the first hands-on demos of the Motorola Xoom, the soon-to-launch inaugural Honeycomb device. But there’s still plenty left to learn.

Here are a few random things recently discovered.

1. Honeycomb is now “feature-complete.”

Tech companies are known for occasionally working up to the last minute on devices, especially ones with software as intricate as smartphones and tablets. Honeycomb, however, has now reached a “feature-complete” state, a member of the Android team tells me — meaning there may be a few random tweaks made here and there, but for the most part, what we saw this week is pretty much what we’re going to see on store shelves. And from what I was told, we’ll be seeing those Xoom tablets on store shelves “very soon.”

No big surprise on the timing, of course; that jives with everything we’ve heard about the Xoom’s launch in recent weeks. Moto Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha has said the device will likely ship in late February. Unofficial rumors have pointed to the 17th as the date to watch. The fact that the software is now considered more or less finished — a sharp contrast to the last time we saw it, at CES in January — certainly makes an imminent debut seem plausible.

2. Honeycomb could reach smartphones; it’s still up in the air.

One thing I was hoping to learn at Wednesday’s Google event was what the roadmap for Android looked like — in other words, where do we go from here? Will phones eventually get Honeycomb, or will we now have two separate paths of Android — one for smartphones, and one for tablets?

During Google’s official presentation on Wednesday, the Android team didn’t say much. After the session, however, Google reps told me why they’re staying so quiet: They aren’t completely sure how things will shake out.

Indeed, Android chief Andy Rubin has been very careful with his wording when talking about Honeycomb’s future. Though Google has described Honeycomb as an OS that was “designed from the ground up for devices with larger screen sizes,” Rubin has dropped hints about how Honeycomb’s new features could work on phones, too.

Specifics aside, Rubin has said very explicitly that what we see in Honeycomb is definitely the direction all of Android will be heading — and I heard similar sentiments from Google reps this week. When or how Honeycomb will reach smartphones is still to-be-determined, I’m told, but the visual components of the new OS will almost certainly land on all types of devices sooner or later.

Ultimately, then, the question appears to be whether Honeycomb itself ends up having multiple “profiles” — one for tablets, one for smartphones — or whether some of Honeycomb’s visual features end up being ported over to a separate phone-specific edition of the Android OS. One way or another, though, the new look and feel introduced in Honeycomb will eventually become universal.

(For more thoughts and analysis on this, see my previous story: “Will Android Honeycomb come to smartphones?”)

3. Android apps will now be able to detect whether they’re running on a tablet or a phone and respond accordingly.

With all these Honeycomb-specific features now available to Android apps, one has to wonder whether developers will soon start offering multiple versions of their programs — one for Honeycomb-running tablets, and one for non-Honeycomb phones. Even some of the developers at Wednesday’s event weren’t sure what to expect. I asked Google, and the simple answer: That won’t be necessary.

An Android team member tells me the same APK — the compressed file format used by Android applications — will work on both a Honeycomb tablet and an Android phone, even if the app has Honeycomb-exclusive features built in. The app will be able to recognize which form it’s on, I’m told, and then load the appropriate version and features for the device; there’ll be no need for multiple tablet/smartphone versions to exist.

Now, with that said, some Honeycomb apps may still be tablet-only. If a developer creates an app exclusively for Honeycomb, then it’ll work only for Honeycomb. But if a developer wants to offer tablet-specific enhancements while still providing a smartphone-compatible version, he’ll be able to do it within a single application.

4. Honeycomb tablets will automatically sync apps and settings with your phone and stay in sync as time moves on.

The first time you use a Honeycomb tablet like the Motorola Xoom, the device will be able to automatically import the settings and preferences from your existing Android phone (provided that both devices are set up with the same Google account). The tablet will even be able to download and install all of the apps you’ve put on your smartphone in one big swoop.

The phone-tablet syncing won’t stop at that initial setup, either. As a Google rep explained it to me, when you download a new Android app on one device, it’ll automatically show up on the other device, too. You can opt to delete an app individually from either device, of course, if you so choose.
